Welcome! I’m Cole Novak, an award-winning journalist and digital marketing professional with just under eight years of experience, currently serving as the Web Content Editor and in-house photographer for San Diego Magazine. My work has been featured in both the magazine's print and digital publications, where I manage digital strategy and optimize the website for our readers.

In my career, I’ve worked with two acclaimed agencies, including CourtAvenue, recognized by AdWeek as a “Fast Growing Agency in 2023,” where I collaborated with Fortune 500 clients such as Kia, Mazda, Qualcomm, Epson, and Dell. My focus has been on modernizing digital content, enhancing e-commerce experiences, and crafting effective brand communications. Over the years, I've developed expertise in website strategy, paid media, UX optimization, media budgeting, user testing, e-commerce management, and comprehensive content strategy.

Alongside my digital marketing career, I’m passionate about photography, videography, and film. I’m also a Part 107 certified drone pilot, expanding my skill set to include drone videography and photography. During my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing at San Diego State, I contributed to film projects as part of the SDSU Film Society. After graduation, I pursued freelance work, providing product photography, portraits, videography, and film production for nonprofits, local businesses, and community-driven projects.
